I Spore You

So now I been playing with this new toy. Ok well not really a "toy" per say but it's fun. I have the free trial, soon to be upgraded. Today the soonest.
I have made about 3 creatures with the parts I am given with a free trail & I have to say I am doing rather well. I hope with the full version I can do a lot more to the look of the creature. I have some idea & draw creatures as a hobby normally so I have a lot of great ideas. One I do want to try to get close to is the Dragon Guards from WoW. They look sweet & I think after some time I can make one. I have come close to the over all shape & stance so it shouldn't be long till I have one of these killer creatures running all over killing everything in sight.
MUHAHAHAHA .... yeah, so....
Other then that I think making something really cute that lives off meat is in order. I don't like how I am currently limited with color. I have this pastel color track to use & I hope with the full version that will open up to me. I really don't like the idea of my creature limited to easter colors.
I have seen some cool ones on the Maxis site which I can get some ideas off of. I am still happy this game has come so far that it will come out for play. I was worried that they were going to shelf it, which would of been nuts. So great going EA GAMES for keeping this fine game alive. Bravo!
In other news, Diablo 3, the webiste, is not owned but Blizzard. I know this is old news but it's new to me. They were given the site by the owner so no money or trade was given. I do like this because I loved the other Diablo games & still play Diablo 2. I know a few people are waiting on a new Starcraft game, which I could say is a bit soon but good to have goals. I also like the idea Blizzard has talked about World of Diablo/Starcraft for the lovers of all the games. I would play a World of Diablo. I'd so play a Demon. More so a Amazon but I could play both. Even the idea of WoW 2 is great for me because rather then just making a new graphic jump game like EQ 2, we get a new story line that works off the old one.
I heard, heard mind you, that you can train in other languages, basic, but ya can do it with books ( like ya do with trainable skills ) and can talk to the other side. What I would like is to earn rep with other cityies on the other side. Like if I got my rep up for Stormwind I can now go in there & not get attacked. Plus I would love to see both sides doing instances. I'm tired of not finding groups because all the players are on the other side. I want to be who I wanted to be & get as much play time as the next player, am I wrong?
I'm feeling a little bit better about the new pack coming out for WoW which is WotLK. I know I have to start all over again from 70-80 getting gear & maybe some epics but there is so much I have yet to do or get keyed for. I wish it was going to be a bit longer.
What I have been hearing on my side of the tracks is EQ playing people who bash the game of WoW because of stupid reasons. It's always a EQ player too. I know WoW doesn't have a billion packs to add content but how often do you really go & look at all the content? I played EQ for 3 days & I was lucky to find the town the first time. Never did find it after that.
Plus who wants to pay every month another 40 bucks for another pack that is open to a lvl I'm not or a area I can care less about? Maybe you want to have more items that look, oh like other items! I know EQ is great for that. Every axe looks like very axe in the game. Yeah....
So stop the QQ & just deal with WoW is slower so you have a chance to catch up, play the great stuff they added, get epics & have a life. Yes you can get bored but guess what! Thats great! That means you can get up, go out & have a life. It's not like " OH MY GOD! I HAVE TO PLAY! I HAVE TO DO THIS NEW STUFF THEY JUST ADDED 2 SECONDS AGO! OH! THEY ADDED MORE & MORE IN A HOUR! OMG! ". I don't know about you but that would drive me nuts.
I think EQ players got spoiled because the company is losing players so fast they have to add more to keep the gamers with them. To keep the money flowing.
Plus I love getting the big packs, not the normal ones. I like getting CDs & fun codes so I don't want to pay 75 or more bucks to get a game every month. I can just pay for the stuff I have now why break my bank too?
Ah well. I'm a ranting.
But on a game & art note, I am doing art for people who wish to pay me, of their "toons" "players" "chars" of WoW, perhaps other games. I'm working on x-mas ornaments of the Horde Leaders. I am only making one set of these unless some one pays me for another set which would look way different. I will also get to Ally Leaders but one thing at a time. I'll post images once I am done. If you would like your guy/gal on one of these ornaments, hand painted mind you, send me a note. They are only a head shot with head piece, chest piece & shoulders. No full body shot due to limited space on the ornament. There is also space on the back if you want it to say something or want a pet on the back. Pets are extra.

If you go to their web site & see who they are asking to join the team, you can kinda guess at what they are doing. Blizzard has 3 cash cows so new games out of no where seems odd so work on the other two games are a must. Other then that I have no news & haven't heard anything.
If you go to http://www.diablofans.com you will see a site that is full of Diablo info. They keep tabs on stuff & if Diablo 3 pops up any where it'll be there. Right they have Diablo 2 info but they are on the look out for diablo 3 info as well & since the owner of this site is the one who had Diablo3.com before, I'm sure he'll know something.

It was funny. My boss is really chill and I haven't asked him about gaming too much but he's mentioned GTA and WoW to me on occasions... I think he's a gamer

I guess I don't get around enough. What I usually see is people hating on WoW that have never played it, like I use to.
Seems to me that whether it's WoW, EQ, LOTRO, Conan or w/e we are all playing the same genre and should respect each other because the games are all close.
That's for EQ and WoW fans. From a guy that never played EQ.
